Co-creating your wedding dress is inimitable
In my journey as a fashion designer I received a lot of questions about co-creating a wedding dress. Before I go more into this interesting subject, it is important to start with what I consider a co-creating wedding dress actually to be. Essentially, a co-created wedding dress is a unique gown, sewn from scratch, for one individual.
Ready to wear wedding dresses aren’t made for every bride. Sometimes the available dresses are not exactly like the dream wedding gown you have in mind. In this case co-creating your wedding gown can be an inimitable solution.
To have your wedding gown created from scratch is a very personal, creative and exciting experience. It is also a demanding process that you shouldn’t enter into lightly.
To end up with a wedding gown that fits you like a glove and enhances your best features there are a few tips.
- Communication is key. Be open to your designer from the first meeting. Share your ideas on how your wedding dress should look like. And ask all the questions you might have.
- Planning. Because you need around 4 meetings, I recommend to start at least 6 months before your big day.
- Be open minded and get inspired.
- Have a budget in mind. And be aware that the production of a co-created wedding gown is a more costly process than a ready to wear dress.
Co -creating a wedding dress is a special gift for yourself, which perfectly honors your wedding celebration. If you have any questions, feel free to send an email to service@karinrom.com. Would you like to have more information about booking an exclusive appointment? Check our appointment page.
